The cultivation of palm peach for the production of palm has many advantages over other palms, among them the species Jussara that currently is endangered. Given the economic importance of the cultivation of peach palm in the national and, yet, without losing sight of the ecological relevance of this type of agribusiness, this study aimed at evaluating how economic variables and climate of a general nature could be in determining the price average pupunha "in natura" received monthly by one of the producers of Ribeira Valley, State of São Paulo. Based on a case study of the unique type conducted with a development of the rural town of Eldorado, in the Ribeira Valley, SP, whose average monthly sales was around 400 units palm cut at the point of withdrawal of the palm, and from the multiple linear regression analysis, we identified an equation explaining 79.59% of the observations on monthly average prices received for that producer, over 41 months between 2008 and 2011. Among other evidence, it was observed that both the average monthly Commercial Dollar as the average monthly price of a barrel of oil showed an inverse pattern of behavior to the behavior of prices received by farmers in marketing that peach palm. It was also identified that no variable with a lag of a monthly period exerts any influence on prices traded in the current period, even the own price of peach palm.Downloads
