Industry 4.0, or the Fourth Industrial Revolution, represents a significant transformation in production processes, integrating technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), automation, artificial intelligence, and robotics. This revolution reshapes the value chain and increases global competitiveness through the creation of smart factories and cyber-physical systems. While countries like Germany and the United States invest in policies to accelerate the adoption of these technologies, Brazil is still in an initial stage of adaptation. In 2018, the Brazilian government launched the Brazilian Agenda for Industry 4.0, which includes measures such as lines of credit and incentives for collaboration between startups and industries. Through a documentary and observational research study, this work addresses one of these initiatives, the Center of Excellence in Technology 4.0 (CET 4.0), inaugurated in 2021 at the Sorocaba Technology Park. The CET 4.0 acts as a catalyst for industrial innovation, promoting partnerships between companies, universities, and the government, and contributing to the technological modernization of Brazilian industries. However, challenges such as resistance from companies and the need for effective communication must be overcome to ensure the long-term sustainability of the initiative and to expand digital transformation in other regions of Brazil.
