Abstract

This paper proposes and discusses a new - developed through a graphical representation - supply chain management model of higher education based on the literature on the subject; in order to demonstrate the feasibility of this approach on education as a product. To support this approach we analyzed the various items that make up the chain as: value governance, lifecycle. He attempted to take into account the peculiarities of Education, in addition to the characteristics of an institution of higher education. Another key point was to consider the student formed result of purchase of the institution, the value added to the input (his intellectual and human capital) proven in the market through the degree. However, this isolated research will not meet all the points. However recommend further research, qualitative or case study, within this approach - education as a product - to develop a larger database on the discussion.
