Abstract

The aim of this paper was to identify patterns of use between performances indicators used in the companies from poultry sector of the State of Pernambuco through the perspectives proposed by the Balanced Scorecard. To carry out this research 27 companies were analyzed and 35 performance indicators were investigated. The instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire compose by closed questions and binary answers referred to the use of the performance indicators considered. To achieve this purpose, three complementary multivariate methodological approaches were used: cluster analysis, multidimensional scaling and factor analysis. All statistic procedures were performed through STATISTICA for Windows. The results showed empirical evidence of the existence of relationships between indicators based on the identification of four distinct groups.
