APPLICATION ANALYSIS OF STATISTICAL PROCESS CONTROL IN MANUFACTURING OF PESTICIDES

Abstract

Much has been discussed the importance of quality to the success of organizations. The preparation of this work analyzes how the tool the Statistical Process Control (SPC) can be used to solve problems in the manufacturing process and assist managers in their decision making. The study was conducted at a company in the chemical sector, located in Taquara, in the Valley of Paranhana, Rio Grande do Sul - Brazil. The manufacturing process where the zip code was implemented filler comprises a liquid, which occurs filling plastic bottles with 500 ml of pet repellent insecticide, analyzing the net weight of each bottle by deducting the tare after filling. The proposed application followed the following steps: (i) definition of control charts; (ii) data collection; (iii) construction of control charts for average and variable amplitude; (iv) analysis of the process. According to the results it observed that the process follows a stable behavior, be within the specification limits of the company and INMETRO.
