PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIPS: CONCEPTUAL AND INSTITUTIONAL ASPECTS IN BRAZIL

Abstract

This article aims to present concepts about Public Private Partnerships - PPP and its respective institution in Brazil. It was used the bibliographical review about the concepts of PPP public-private partnership and institution in Brazil through Federal Law 11079/2004. The approach was qualitative and the research technique was bibiographic and documentary. The use of Public-Private Partnerships is a worldwide trend. In Brazil, experiences with PPPs through Law 11,079 / 2004 are still considered recent, conceptual and cultural adjustments are important, the lack of good projects and lack of budget execution are listed as the main problems. It is concluded that to tread a path compromised by good management practices in all aspects are the main challenges, in the mutual cooperation between all the parties, to reach the proposed objectives of development with attendant to the demands of the society.
