THE EXPLORATION OF THE AGROFLORESTAL SYSTEM AND POTENTIALIZATION OF LOCAL DEVELOPMENT: A CASE STUDY OF CARIRIAÇU/CE

Abstract

Agroforestry Systems (SAFs) are currently considered as an innovative instrument for the development of agriculture. The objective of this work is to make a study about the Agroforestry System developed in the rural area of the municipality of Caririaçu, Ceará (CE), describing the importance of how it is being implemented and the impact on the quality of life of the producers, as well as to demonstrate the techniques used and developed , exploring a literature review on agroecology. The methodological procedure used was descriptive/exploratory. In this way, it can be concluded that through the implantation in the SAF, there were significant social improvements in the quality of life of the producers, as well as provided greater local development through the generation of employment and income in the community, variety and technical improvements in production, leading to an increase in the productive capacity of the land and the ecological balance.
