Abstract

Sustainable development is the essential pillar of a paradigmatic change necessary to transform the production chain, focusing on the adoption of pro-environmental postures of circular economy that involve not only large corporations, but also micro, small and medium-sized companies (MPME), in order to generate results at all scales of the production process. The present article was elaborated from a theoretical-practical force that sought to apprehend the conceptual scope of Ecodesign while this concept was applied to the production process of a company in the field of design in the city of Natal, Rio Grande do Norte (RN). It was sought, through the methodology of case study and participant observation, to evaluate how this company could reduce its environmental impact as well as its customers and partners, without compromising resources or competitiveness, adding value to its products and verifying how the process can be replicated by other companies in the same or different branches.
