CLIMATE CHANGE IN FRONT OF SOCIETY, INDUSTRIES AND ECONOMIC SECTORS

Abstract

Climate change has been increasingly discussed and is gaining notoriety these days due to the negative impacts that such variations have caused in various aspects, worldwide. Given this context, this article aims to discuss the impacts of climate change on society, industries and economic sectors. The theme in question was chosen due to the absence of works that address this subject and its objectives are: to discuss sustainable development, sustainability and climate change; identify the impacts that climate change causes on society and industry; verify the performance of companies in the face of the effects of climate change and analyze the economic sectors most affected by climate change. With regard to the methodology, the research has a qualitative approach, in relation to its nature, it is considered applied and in terms of the objective, it is classified as exploratory and descriptive. The study concluded that climate change really affects society, industries and economic sectors. The sectors most impacted by climate change are agriculture, energy and transport. Among these, agriculture is the economic sector most affected by climate change, and it is already being impacted by several harmful consequences.
